Spiderman Party Ideas

Your little boy may already have a Spidey costume so let his super powers roam free this birthday. You will surely make his day by throwing him a Spiderman themed birthday party. Here are some ideas!

Webbed
Do the invitations in true Spiderman style. Not only with this excite the birthday baby but all the invitees! The card itself can be in an octagon shape. Draw a circle in the middle of the octagon the draw lines from the circle to the corners of the octagon. Draw short lines between these to make a spider’s web. Alternatively you can take a regular rectangular shaped card paper, paste printouts from a comic strip of Spiderman and in the talk bubble write ‘It’s my birthday, you should come’.

Spiders galore
There has to be spider webs all over (but not real ones). Use big white papers to draw spider webs and paste them on the corners of the room. Better still, use a long thin rope to make a larger than life spider web and hang it in the corner, from the ceiling to the floor. Or you can also install that web at the entrance itself. The dress code can be Spiderman clothes for the boys and girls can come in red and black. How about hanging some rubber spider from the ceiling here and there but ensure they don’t look too real. It might just scare the kids. Balloons can be blue and black, and streamers can be white and red. Depending on your budget, you can use Spiderman masks, plates, cups, spoons, etc. You can definitely use balloons with Spiderman prints.

Spiderman pursuits
Perhaps the most fun activity for a Spiderman theme party would be face painting. Here’s a simple game that can be adapted from ‘Pin the tail on the donkey’. Draw a spider web on a piece of paper (by now you should be an expert in drawing webs), hang it on the wall and the blindfolded player tries to stick a rubber or paper spider on the wall. You can call it ‘Spider on the web’ game. You can also change a simple chase game into a special Spiderman ‘good guy bad guy’ game. The one who chases is the bad guy and the one he touches in turn becomes the bad guy. You can also divide the kids in two groups, bring in two bad guys (these can be grown-ups) and have the two groups of Spidermen catch these two villains and tie them in chairs with toilet paper.

Web food
If it is a birthday party, it definitely has to be a cake with a Spiderman on it. Alternatively it can also be octagon shaped, even without a Spiderman but with spider web decoration of course. The colors used on the cake should be red, dark blue, black and purple. Other snacks could include web shaped cookies and octagon shaped sandwiches. In drinks, you can make the Spiderman power drink! It can be a grape juice because the purple color goes with the theme. You can also decorate the buffet table with ‘spider webs’ made of thick thread.
